Chapter 8 Chevrons & Conspicuity tape

Chapter 8 refers to chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual set out by the department of transportation. The basics of chapter 8 are for any vehicles that may stop on the roads to undertake work must be fitted with a set of chapter 8 compliant chevrons along with conspicuity tape down the sides (Or more depending on what the vehicle is being used for). Chapter 8 is part of The Highway code and a legal requirement.

Things you might like to know about Chapter 8...

Pre shaped kits

The kits we use for chapter 8 chevrons are pre cut and shaped to your vehicle so theres no need to cut on the paintwork and create nasty marks if you decide to one day remove them.

Chapter 8 panels

Got a weird panel on the rear of your dropside panel van or just don't want to cover the body in vinyl? Not a problem, we can provide a chevron sign panel made to your measurements to attach to the vehicle instead.

Yellow, White or Red

Don't need the chevrons but need the side stripe? That's fine. We use Avery's high quality 50mm V6700 conspicuity tape which comes in yellow, white and red.

Plant & Machinery

Chances are there won't be a pre made kit for most of your plant and machinery, that's not a problem for us. We can make a custom kit on site to fit your vehicle.

Custom Kits

Chances are there will be that one vehicle on your fleet that we're unable to get a pre shaped kit for. In the event that happens we can make you a custom kit for the vehicle in question and even make a template to recreate the kit should you get more of the same vehicle.
